As the countdown to graduation is on, we are celebrating our graduating senior Class of 2023! Meet graduating senior Adrianna Duque. She is looking forward to moving onto the next chapter of her life. Her advice for younger students: "genuinely be kind to yourself, and try your best to not be your own bully." Congratulations, Adrianna!

The Unified Soccer Tournament took place in West Saint Paul today, and the Red Lake team took home 4th place! Congratulations!!

Due to the current and expected weather Red Lake School District will have a 2-hour late start tomorrow, Friday, April 21st. Both School and Busses will be running two hours late tomorrow morning. To all of our families - please be safe on these snowy roads!

Due to weather, all after school activities for Thursday, April 20th, have been cancelled. The Parent Attendance Intervention meeting at Red Lake Elementary Complex this evening is also postponed.

Spring Sports Photos at the secondary complex have been rescheduled for Wednesday, 4/18, after school by the high school gym.

Reminder that today, Friday, April 14, there is no school for Pre-K and Kindergarten students at RLEC due to Kindergarten Round-Up!

Kindergarten Round up is STILL ON for tonight at RLEC! We hope to see all families with incoming Kindergarten students for the 23-24 School Year. RLEC's Parent Attendance Intervention Meeting for tonight has been postponed and will be rescheduled.

Due to a lack of water pressure at RLEC, both RLEC and Secondary Complex will be releasing students early today. Red Lake Elementary Complex will release students at 1:00pm, and Red Lake Secondary Complex will be releasing at 1:15pm. Ponemah School will continue with the regular school day. Miigwech!

Due to current road conditions, busses will not be going down sideroads until further notice.

Reminder: there is no school today, Friday, April 7 & Monday, April 10. Please enjoy your spring break! We will see you back at school on Tuesday, April 11.

Boozhoo! Red Lake School District will now have an e-learning day today, Thursday, April 6. Miigwech!

Red Lake School District will have a 2 hour late start on Thursday, April 6th, to allow time for plows to finish cleaning everything up. However, there is the potential for an e-learning day if the roads are still too difficult to navigate by bus. Please plan for a 2 hour late start, and the district will keep you updated if there are any further changes. Miigwech!

This is a reminder that today, Wednesday, April 5, is an E-Learning day for the Red Lake Independent School District. There will not be in-person school today.

Boozhoo! Red Lake School District will be closing early Tuesday, April 4, 2023 due to impending weather. Red Lake Elementary Complex will dismiss at 1:15, and Red Lake Secondary Complex and Ponemah School will dismiss at 1:30. All after school programming is cancelled today and tomorrow. The decision has also been made to make Wednesday, April 5th an E-Learning day across the district. Miigwech!

Red Lake Elementary and Ponemah Parent – Teacher conferences are tomorrow, Thursday, March 30! -Secondary Complex students release from school at 1:30 PM -Elementary Students release from school at 1:15 PM -Conferences run 2 PM – 7 PM -Meal will be provided 4 PM – 6:30 PM -Community pictures available 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM -Art Walk through the building as well!

*Early Release Information for Friday, March 24th, 2023* It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the loss of our colleague and mentor, Arnold Kingbird. Arnold spent much time with our students throughout the district, sharing his love for the students and for Anishinaabe language and culture. We celebrated his gifts during a drum circle today at the middle school, and students drummed, sang, and danced to honor his love for them. Arnold's funeral will be held Friday (tomorrow) in Ponemah at the Boys and Girls Club. To allow time to honor our mentor, Red Lake Schools will be dismissing early according to the following schedule tomorrow, Friday, March 24: - Red Lake Secondary Complex will dismiss at 1:00PM. - Red Lake Elementary Complex and Ponemah School will dismiss at 1:15PM.
