Little Warriors Play & Learn is coming! 🧸🎨
Join us for our first Play & Learn event presented by Red Lake Schools ECFE on February 4 from 5:00–6:00 PM. This is for families with children birth–5 years old to play and explore in an early childhood classroom, create art, and enjoy circle time together. (Please, no school-aged children.)
Parents can also connect with other adults at our ☕ parent iced coffee bar!
For more information, contact Stacie Parkos at 218-670-3353 ext. 1031.

Save the date for Thursday, February 12th from 3:30-7:15pm. Join us for conferences, where your child will get a hot cocoa treat to make their evening extra sweet!

Earlier today, there was a false alarm when an odor at Red Lake Elementary Complex was thought to be gas-related. The area was checked immediately and it was confirmed the smell came from a sewer drain trap, not a gas leak. There is no safety concern, and school remains in session for Red Lake Elementary Complex K-5.

This is a weather related message from Red Lake School District.
Due to extremely cold weather, Red Lake School District will be closing early today, Thursday, January 22.
Early dismissal times are as follows:
• Red Lake Elementary Complex: 12:30 p.m.
• Red Lake Secondary Complex: 12:45 p.m.
•Ponemah School: 12:30 p.m.
There will be no after-school activities today, including scheduled conferences at the Red Lake Elementary Complex.
In addition, Red Lake School District will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 23, due to continued extreme cold. All after-school activities tomorrow, including the basketball game, are also canceled.
Please ensure students are prepared for early dismissal and safe travel home. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
Miigwech!

Important Reminder from Red Lake School District: We’ll See You at School on Monday, January 19!
Because of earlier winter weather, Monday, January 19 will be used as a snow day makeup day, and school will be in session for all students. Thank you to our families and community for your continued support—we look forward to seeing everyone back at school!

To prevent a potential infestation of bedbugs, roaches and lice in our community, we ask that students no longer bring backpacks to school. This will reduce the chance that these they will come into your home with your student’s backpack.
If your child needs to bring supplies to school, please use bags other than backpacks such as “fanny packs” or plastic bags which won’t attract bedbugs. We need to work together to protect the community
This will go into effect the first day of school after winter break for all Red Lake Schools.
Thank you.
Basketball games are still on and there will be transportation for those.
Reminder to all families: Tonight, join us at 5pm at Ponemah School for the next American Indian Parent Advisory Council (AIPAC)! Meal and drawing for prizes at 5:10. See you there!
