Boozhoo, this is an important weather-related announcement for Red Lake Schools. Due to a very uncertain weather forecast with lots of potential for snow and wind, as well as poor visibility, Red Lake Schools will hold an E-Learning Day tomorrow. Students, please be prepared to participate in an E-Learning Day tomorrow. Miigwech!
Earlier this month, Ms. Johnson's 6th grade class were student scientists, investigating rocks and minerals. They even had the opportunity to create crystals! Check out these photos shared from her class.
Reminder for all students and families: There is no school this Friday, March 22nd.
Red Lake Secondary School will be holding a healing ceremony on Thursday of this week. The healing ceremony will allow us to take a moment to breath and support each other during this difficult time for our community with the loss of two young children, the 19-year anniversary of the 2005 tragedy, the recent loss of several teenagers in addition to the many other struggles of grief and loss that are a part of daily life. Students who do not wish to attend, may be excused from attending the ceremony. All students are expected to attend regular school.
Juniors and Seniors: Save the Date! PROM 2024 is happening on April 13th. Tickets are $10 per person, which will also include one 5x7 photo and 4 wallets that you will receive that night! See the attached image for details.
Let's Go Warriors! Want to attend Friday's game in person? There will be 2 Community Fan Busses headed to the game! The Ponemah bus will leave at 3:30pm from Ponemah and the Red Lake Bus will leave at 4:00 from Red Lake. Call Barb @ Red Lake High: 218-679-3733 ext. 1100 or Leslie @ Ponemah: 218-554-7337 and they will get your name on the list. Cost is $1 for the bus ride.
Authors Karen M. Greenwald, Nancy Churnin, and Hilary Margitich are celebrating Women’s History Month and Read Across America by facilitating shipments of NEW donated books to Red Lake Schools.
They are partnering with the Reader-to-Reader program.
After books arrive over spring and summer, they will be distributed to our libraries and classrooms.

Cost for game (you must pay for yourself) $ 8 adult / $5 students
Ponemah bus will leave from Ponemah at 2:00 pm to Thief River Falls
Red Lake bus will leave from Red Lake at 2:30 pm to Thief River Falls
Students K-8th grade must have an adult with them on the bus and at the game.

We must have at least 15 people signed up to ride the bus by 1:00 pm today Friday March 8th or the fan bus will be canceled.

Just a few days away from cheering on our Warriors! Thursday, March 7 is the Boys Basketball Game vs. Bagley Flyers. Doors open at 6pm. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students. Due to the nature of this being a tournament game, there will not be any free passes available. All attendants of the game, including elders, will be expected to pay. Miigwech!

SENIORS!! Bob from Image will be here all day on Thursday the 22nd to take Senior Pictures. The sitting for the pictures is free of charge and Bob will send out a proof sheet that you can order pictures from if you would like. Bob will also be providing a picture the yearbook unless you provide your own. You can bring a change of clothes or an item you want in the picture like a guitar or hand drum. Parents are also welcome to come to the session. Bob will be available after school during conferences (until 6:00 p.m.) if your guardian or family would like to come and join you for a family picture. Contact Jody J at (218)679-2700 ext. 1177 if you have any questions or would like to schedule a specific time to meet with Bob. A sign up sheet will be available at school or reach out on Teams to set up a time.
Family Fun Night & Conferences at RLSC is happening this Thursday, February 22, from 3:30-7:15pm! Join us for games, a cake walk, craft activities, a free throw contest, bean bag tournament, cookie decorating, and a free meal! See you there!
