Earlier today, there was a false alarm when an odor at Red Lake Elementary Complex was thought to be gas-related. The area was checked immediately and it was confirmed the smell came from a sewer drain trap, not a gas leak. There is no safety concern, and school remains in session for Red Lake Elementary Complex K-5.

Hello! This is an important message from Red Lake Schools.
To prevent a potential infestation of bedbugs, roaches and lice in our community, we ask that students no longer bring backpacks to school. This will reduce the chance that these they will come into your home with your student’s backpack.
If your child needs to bring supplies to school, please use bags other than backpacks such as “fanny packs” or plastic bags which won’t attract bedbugs. We need to work together to protect the community
This will go into effect the first day of school after winter break for all Red Lake Schools. See you back at school tomorrow, Monday, January 5th!
Thank you.
