Boozhoo Families of RLEC K-2 Students!
Grades K-2 will be visiting Fuller Farm in Bemidji this week – Grade K (9/24), Grade 1 (9/25), and Grade 2 (9/26). On the day of their field trip, they will be departing RLEC at 9:30 AM and returning to RLEC by 1:45 PM.
Please have your child dress appropriately for the weather.

It’s going to be another hot and humid day tomorrow, and our classrooms are becoming a bit hot and stuffy. Please be mindful of what your children wear to school tomorrow and encourage them to wear short sleeves and light clothing to help avoid overheating.


RED LAKE ELEMENTARY COMPLEX FAMILIES: Starting TODAY, Monday, Sept. 16th, the student day at Red Lake Elementary Complex will be changing. On Mondays, students will attend school from 9:50 AM - 3:00 PM and on Tuesdays through Fridays, students will attend from 7:50 AM - 3:00 PM. Student drop-off will remain 9:45 AM on Mondays and 7:45 AM Tuesdays through Fridays. Students will be dismissed to the buses at 3:00 PM, so parent pick-up will be from 3:00 - 3:15 PM at Door #6. All Red Lake Elementary and Secondary students who ride the bus will likely be arriving home 20 - 30 minutes earlier than they have so far this school year.

The RLEC Kindergarten “Meet Your Teacher” Night is on Monday, September 9 from 3:45 PM – 6:45 PM. To support the RLEC Kindergarten Meet Your Teacher Night, there will be no school for RLEC Kindergarten students on Monday, September 9.

The first day of school is right around the corner! The first day back for students will be TUESDAY, September 3rd. We can't wait to welcome you back!

IMPORTANT! Online registration is required for students/learners to use the school computers & iPads, receive medicine from the health techs, attend field trips, & much more! You are welcome to complete from home but we also will have staff onsite to support online registration at this event. Maine Bound! This week, this group of RLEC staff is off to Portland Maine for a summit on mass customized learning which is about personalizing learning for our learners! We are pretty excited to learn from some great leaders in education in the US and connect with other learning communities.
