Due to weather, all after school activities for Thursday, April 20th, have been cancelled.
The Parent Attendance Intervention meeting at Red Lake Elementary Complex this evening is also postponed.
Spring Sports Photos at the secondary complex have been rescheduled for Wednesday, 4/18, after school by the high school gym.
Reminder that today, Friday, April 14, there is no school for Pre-K and Kindergarten students at RLEC due to Kindergarten Round-Up!
Kindergarten Round up is STILL ON for tonight at RLEC! We hope to see all families with incoming Kindergarten students for the 23-24 School Year.

Red Lake School District will have a 2 hour late start on Thursday, April 6th, to allow time for plows to finish cleaning everything up. However, there is the potential for an e-learning day if the roads are still too difficult to navigate by bus. Please plan for a 2 hour late start, and the district will keep you updated if there are any further changes. Miigwech!

Red Lake School District will be closing early Tuesday, April 4, 2023 due to impending weather. Red Lake Elementary Complex will dismiss at 1:15, and Red Lake Secondary Complex and Ponemah School will dismiss at 1:30. All after school programming is cancelled today and tomorrow.
The decision has also been made to make Wednesday, April 5th an E-Learning day across the district.

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the loss of our colleague and mentor, Arnold Kingbird. Arnold spent much time with our students throughout the district, sharing his love for the students and for Anishinaabe language and culture.
We celebrated his gifts during a drum circle today at the middle school, and students drummed, sang, and danced to honor his love for them.
Arnold's funeral will be held Friday (tomorrow) in Ponemah at the Boys and Girls Club. To allow time to honor our mentor, Red Lake Schools will be dismissing early according to the following schedule tomorrow, Friday, March 24:
- Red Lake Secondary Complex will dismiss at 1:00PM.
- Red Lake Elementary Complex and Ponemah School will dismiss at 1:15PM.

There will be an early release for all of ISD #38's schools on Thursday, 3/2/23. Ponemah and RLEC will dismiss at 2:00pm, RLSE will dismiss at 2:15pm. Let's go warriors!

Red Lake Public Schools Parent Advisory Committee Elections April 11th
The Red Lake Public Schools District will be holding their American Indian Parent Advisory Committee (AIPAC) election April 11, 5:00 pm at the secondary complex culture room. No application form is needed. Attendance is required.
Eligible candidates are parents or guardians of American Indian/Alaska Native students in the district.
The purpose of the AIPAC is to advise the district on how to meet the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of Anishinaabe students, so that students can meet State standards, gain knowledge and understanding of Anishinaabe language, history, traditions, culture and values, and ensure that all staff who serve Indian students have the ability to provide culturally appropriate and effective instruction and supports to such students.
