Thoughts with Superintendent Tim Lutz

Boozhoo!

I am pleased to report that we have had a very calm and peaceful week so far.  I am grateful for the support of the Red Lake community and tribal officials. Many community members have signed up to visit the school and to help monitor lunch, lunch ball, and our many hallways.

I was honored to host Chairman Seki and Jason Defoe on Monday of this week.  They spent over three hours walking the hallways and visiting classrooms with me.  We visited with a number of staff members and talked to many students encouraging them to value their education and to take their schoolwork seriously.  We also had lunch at the school and met and visited with even more students.

The students and staff greatly appreciated meeting Chairman Seki and Jason.  I think it is safe to say that the Chairman and Jason learned a lot about many of the behavioral challenges we face in our schools.  Chi Miigwech to both of them for visiting on Monday.

Visiting with Mr. Bellino (Batman) on Monday, which was Halloween.
